Terms of Transportation Service
How do we ensure every shipment meets international standards? By establishing a firm legal foundation for every mile traveled. These terms govern the contractual relationship between STEP AHEAD DISTRIBUTION INC. (the "Company") and you (the "Client") regarding all logistics, transport, and transit operations.
1. Scope of Services
STEP AHEAD DISTRIBUTION INC. operates as a primary freight forwarder and logistics provider. We're responsible for organizing the transportation of goods from Los Angeles to global destinations using our vetted fleet and strategic partners. Every forwarding request is subject to equipment availability and carrier capacity.
2. Liability & Transit Insurance
We believe in full transparency. While we maintain comprehensive transportation insurance, the Client's cargo liability remains subject to the Hague-Visby Rules or Carmack Amendment where applicable. It's recommended that high-value cargo carries additional specific transit insurance. Don't leave your assets to chance.
3. Payment and Dispatch Terms
Invoices are generated upon dispatch of the goods. Payments for delivery services are strictly Net 30 days unless otherwise negotiated in a Master Service Agreement (MSA). Furthermore, late payments may result in the suspension of active forwarding flows. We've optimized our billing cycle for predictability.

4. Warehouse & Storage
Goods stored in our warehouses for freight transportation are held at the Client's risk for standard perils. We provide climate-controlled environments and 24/7 security. Our liability for storage is limited to the standard industry warehouseman's legal liability. Why risk unmanaged storage?
